Kids tick off, parents confirm
Kids tick off their own chores: in kids mode on your phone, on the family tablet or on their paired device. You decide per child whether that counts straight away.
- On the child's card, open Week, allowance, and history.
- Under Reward settings, turn on Parents confirm each completed chore. It's off by default.
- When the child ticks something off, the top of the chores page shows “1 chore waiting for confirmation”.
- Tap Confirm, or the X for Not done. With two or more waiting there's also Confirm all.
Good to know
- When you tick off a chore yourself in the parent view, it counts straight away, even with the switch on.
- On a paired device, kids can tick off yesterday, today and tomorrow. Late ticks up to three days back always wait for confirmation.
- A tick by mistake goes away with a second tap.
- A declined one-off chore is open again afterwards.
Kids mode on a parent's phone
In the app, start it with the sparkles icon at the top right of the chores page. The first time, you set a four-digit PIN for kids mode; it only applies to this device. You leave with Exit kids mode and the PIN. With Forgot PIN? your device passcode or Face ID unlocks it.
